Something Does NOT Add Up Here!
Today I have to report my income to Centrelink. Guess what? No income (AGAIN!) this fortnight so the government will deposit $473 into my bank account.
This money needs to cover $250 for my mortgage payment, $52.50 for acupuncture (after medical insurance rebate), $53.40 for medical insurance, $8.50 for hydrotherapy, $5 for tai chi, $52.50 for Lyrica, $24 for Circadin, then there is Thyroxine, Sertraline, Vitamin D, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Eleuthera Root, a multi-vitamin supplement. Umm, where’s the food, cigarettes (do NOT tell me to quit, as a comment!), phone, internet, electricity and gas?
Something does NOT add up here!
P.S. Also had to pay over $900 this week for my Practicing Certificate and Law Institute membership – I’m still not giving up on practicing!

So sad that people suffer w/pain issues…9 times out of 10 the cause is inflammation. Please read about an all natural anti-inflammatory that is the answer to chronic pain. Read about Nopalea @ http://www.4newu.com as it is free to check it out. If you have questions feel free to contact me – it would be a pleasure (no, a thrill) to help you!
Well i hope things change for you and you can go back to practiceing and be able to make money. Fixed incomes are tuff.
P.S.
I’ve herd of Nopalea before but have never tried it so i don’t know if it would help us or not.
I’ve been on a pension so know how hard it is to make ends meet.I was going through a split and had to move into a rental property with my son. All this while going through a flare and not being able to work.I had to pay rent and bills and car & insurance,i couldnt even afford medical insurance, that was it,my budget wouldnt stretch any further .Where did the money come from to eat? Luckily my son payed for the food.It was really really tough for me and when i look at what you have on your list i see 6 or more things that shouldnt even be there if your as hard up as you say you are .Essentials come first when your on a limited budget, so if you have $900 to spend on law membership then in my book your not that hard up.You need to re-evaluate what you spend your money on.
Why would you put something like this on here ? you must have know it would be under scrutiny.
If I am able to go to back to work, that Law membership is ESSENTIAL as I need to keep up to date – would you go to a lawyer that didn’t know what was going on?
I spent 6 years going through depression, working full-time in another job, studying part-time and being undiagnosed for FM – I am NOT giving up on that dream so easily!
I also realise that there are a number of non-essentials on my list. I am lucky enough to have a mother (and family) who support me greatly; and a credit card (that I realise I will have to empty someday) so I am not giving up everything.
I have never claimed to be ‘hard up’ or ‘doing it tough’. I’m just doing it tougher than I thought it would be.
I appreciate the time you took to read and reply to my post. And I am empathetic to your situation, but please don’t feel the need to attack me personally.
