Astoundingly Normal!

After last nights pain, I woke up this morning (or afternoon, as I had taken extra of almost everything because I was so tired!) astounded: I sat up in bed (still slowly – no huge miracles!), moved my head side to side and breathed in slowly.

No major headache. No face-exploding pain. For the first time in I don’t know how long.

Yes, I had my normal aches and pains but no giant flare. I felt kind of normal (or as normal as we get to feel).

So, I did normal things: tidied my house, put a load of washing on, finished the puppet theatre with my niece, went to the supermarket and left flowers at Mommy’s house (because she returns tomorrow morning – YIPPEE!).

See? Normal – so nothing to talk about.

All astoundingly, rarely and excitingly normal!

About Purple Law Lady

Wow! I was 40 before I heard about Fibromyalgia. After spending 6 years working (in the 'real' world) and studying to get my law degree, half of which I suffered (literally) with depression, I was able to 'practice' law for one whole month before the debilitating purple wave took over my life - FIBROMYALGIA! Unlike many, I have NOT learned to manage this condition so I am not working and I spend alot of time on my couch. So I've decided to share this time with you (who may be real people or may just be the 'ether').

THATS TOTALLY AWESOME IN MY TOTALLY NY ACCENT AND I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TOTALLY JEALOUS AND I HOPE IT HAPPENS TO YOU AGAIN TOMORROW AND THE NEXT DAY AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!!!!!!! heart you XOXOOXOXO

  2. That is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Want to grit teeth in jealousy, but it hurts too much! ;-) Seriously, I’m so happy for you. I’m still suffering with the neck muscle you posted about – and I’ve never had before. Will be showing your post to the doc tomorrow. One thing I must mention is that the muscle itself DOES hury like crazy, along with the related symptoms. Your post was SO useful.

  4. I love those days :-) Just don’t over do it!
My Mum also has FMS. She had a ‘normal’ day and went out for a walk with a friend. Half way she turned to her friend, with a smile, and said ‘I can’t feel my legs!’. The friend looked confused, so Mum had to explain, but those with FMS know exactly where she’s coming from – it just means the constant pain has stopped for a moment and your heavy, tired, aching legs are normal for a short period in time – it’s a happy day :-D

  5. So glad you had a “normal” morning! It is good when this happens and yet it surprises us so much!

  6. Yippe so happy for you I wish you many more of these moments and the best always you deserve that and so much more. Just knowing that you are out there pretty lady helps to make my so so days more bearable. Havent’ been around much lately because my family requires so much care. Severely disabled sister and my 85 year old mother just home from the hospital where she spent most of July and then “there is me” what a motley crew but today I have a little help from my hubby and daughter…thank God for them or I would have to store the three of us in a care home because it would be impossible for me to go on like this. Every one wonders how I am able to accomplish this task “doctor included” other than divine intervention I have no answer..I give you all the kudo’s you have coming tho..like I said just knowing you are out there fighting with the rest of us gives me great comfort. thanks again Lori
