Preferred FM Doctors
We all know how difficult it is to find an understanding and knowledgeable doctor.
If you have any recommendations for GPs or Rheumatologists who have been particularly helpful and understanding, you might want to share him/her with other FM sufferers.
I shall post these referrals in this section of my blogsite as a permanent resource, so please keep them coming, they will be incredibly helpful.

i really enjoying the site, I do not feel alone because we all understand how this diseases have affecting us for the rest of our life since there is no cure. I am severe hard of hearing that know sign as asl marriage with 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Now I been told I am nasty, lazy because that Fibromyalgia ruining my life and now I have my children, my ex step daughter look down on me and they are not even in my shoes. They had no clue, I had to take the depression medications, sleeping pills and pain to maintain my life, if I had not take those, I would be thousand time worse. I am not like everyone else who can get up early in the morning feeling fresh, or have the energy like my kids had. I do not want to wake up with body pain, headaches and depression and worse of all, no energy and tired very easy. Sometime Fibromyalgia make me do not want to do anything when I have an off day. Do I want all of that? No I do not… That Fibromyalgia had change my life from good to bad and they will always judge me before they know how much a struggle that I am trying my very best to be as normal as possible. Life is a curse. I wish my children understand that I can’t be a perfect mom beside that words saying, “I can’t stand her or I dislike her” cause I can not be as normal as others. This Fibromyalgia is really affecting my life that no matter how much I tried to be happy, it had fail.. Life is not fair. I hope to god that no one will get those in the future because once you have it, it will be a nightmare forever.
Help I need a good doctor in Ontario. Canada!!!! If anyone has info please let me know. My General practitioner is retiring in April and i am going to be with out a doctor. Don’t even know where I’m going to be able to get my meds. No doctors in my town are taking on patients and most don’t even know how to treat or even understand Fibro.
I live in Stratford, Ontario. Canada.
My GP is in Maple Ontario and has always been amazing with me….He is one of my team of GP/Chiro(the best) and a RMT. Dr. Scott Dammermann at the Health Centre of Maple. I travel about 1&1/2 hours to get to him since we moved away from there.
Anybody in Indiana?!? I’m desperate for a doc who is understanding and helpful.. Heck at this point I would take one that knew what it was and/or believed it to be a real syndrome!
Thanks in advance! Rosey
Does anyone know of an understanding doctor in the Winston-Salem, NC area? I could possibly drive an hour or so for a good doctor. I had to recently switch doctors because I have to make my appointments on Friday after lunch and the PA I’ve been seeing doesn’t work on Fridays. So far my new doctor is okay but I don’t know how knowledgeable he is about FM. I’ve got to find someone that can help me with all the pain. The big catch is… I do not have insurance. It would need to be a practice that would give me a discount for paying cash.
Thanks for any help you can give me!!

Any rheumatologists for Mesa, az or phoenix metro. I have gone to several and not one wants to treat fibromyalgia. My primary doctor says I need rheum doc to treat but both have had no luck. In meantime I am treating with pain specialist aqua therapy and ventibular therapy but that only eases the symptoms and does nothing on flare ups and hard to have therapy when each day different. On neurotin only since pain meds make me worse…lost on making this fibromyalgia disease go away and never come back
Jennifer, click on United States – the first doc on the list is in Mesa, Arizona.
Thank you. I went there and the rheum doc …dr. crowley. She wouldn’t treat fibromyalgia and referred me to my ims doc for treatment. Frustrating
That sucks! That medical centre was a referral from another reader. I hope you can find some help soon (and WHEN you do, let me know so I can add your new and improved doctor to the list!)
